In the modern world, there are many couples that are still using traditional and mythical ways to determine the sex of their babies even though there are more reliable ways to find out the sex of their babies through ultrasound scan. Perhaps one good reason is because it is free and also perhaps because ultrasound can only give accurate answer after six months and above.
Below are some techniques that might help you to find out the sex of your baby:
The shape of the stomach during pregnancy
The shape of stomach is believed can indicate the gender of a baby. If the position of the baby is high and the shape of the stomach is sphere, very high possibility that the baby is a girl and if the position of the baby is low and the shape of the stomach is round, then it could be a baby boy.
Fast and slow heartbeats
This one is very famous and there are still many midwives that are abided by this rule and believe. The general rule is that if the baby’s heart beat is over 140 per minutes it indicates that it is a baby girl and if the baby’s heart beat is 140 and below per minutes it indicates the baby is a boy. It is quite hard to believe but from my observations, eight out of ten predications are correct. This method has been in used for hundreds of years, long before we have our sophisticated technology in our modern world.
Sugar and spice and all things nice.
Many women crave all sorts of different foods and in some cases other non edible things during their pregnancy and some would have it that if you crave more sweet foods than sour foods it is because you are having a girl. Now this would give credibility to the story that girls are made of sugar and spice, but somehow, as sweet as some girls are, we don’t believe this one.
Hopefully this little article has given you a lot of fun, but please bear in mind that none of this method will give you 100% accuracy. Take it as guidance and reading pleasure. The rest we surrender it to god.
